The 2022 INFINITI QX60—the newest model year of the QX60—has been announced and is on its way to showrooms in the fall of 2021. When new models come out, many people often wonder what’s changed and what’s stayed the same?

Performance and Towing Capacity
Both the 2022 and the 2020 INFINITI QX60 have the same engine under the hood. The 3.5L V6 engine delivers an impressive 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.
The 2020 QX60 model’s engine works in tandem with a standard continuously variable transmission with a manual shift mode. However, the 2022 QX60 has a different standard transmission—a 9-speed automatic transmission.
When properly equipped, the 2020 QX60 has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. While this is impressive, the 2022 QX60 goes even further. It offers an additional 1,000 pounds of towing capacity, bringing the total to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The QX60 is a 7-seater SUV regardless of which year you choose. However, the interior does get a bit of a redesign. The Autograph trim level of the 2022 model has second-row captain’s chairs, which brings the seating down to six if you prefer that.
Both models start with leatherette seating and give you the option of upgrading to available leather trim. The driver’s seat has 8-way power-adjustability with a heating element, available ventilation to keep you cool, and a dual-occupant memory system, including for outside mirrors.

In both the 2020 and the 2022 QX60, you get plenty of technology. The 2020 QX60 has a standard 8-inch color touchscreen display. The 2022 QX60 offers an even bigger screen, standing in at 12.3 inches. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard for both models. You can also opt for in-vehicle navigation.
The 2020 INFINITI QX60 starts out with a standard 6-speaker audio system. You can upgrade the system to an available Bose® audio system with 13 or 15 speakers.
The 2022 model goes even further. It offers a standard 9-speaker audio system right out of the gate. Upgrading to the available Bose® Performance Series sound system with 17 speakers lets you enjoy outstanding audio quality, no matter where you’re seated in the SUV.
