Carriage House of Gallery Artists
Are you exploring the area for the first time? Checking out an art gallery is a must. A favorite in the San Antonio area is the Carriage House of Gallery Artists, which offers a diverse and unique selection of fine art. The gallery, established in 2003, is owned and operated by 13 artist partners local to the area.

Fickle Pickles Antiques and Pickles
When exploring a new town, it’s always good to try something different. Nothing says unique quite like Fickle Pickles Antiques and Pickles. Carousel Antiques & Fickle Pickles was founded in 1987 by Billie A. Shaw, but it was long until the antiques became a backdrop to Mrs. Shaw’s Fickle Pickles®. Locals and day-trippers even call her “The Pickle Lady.”
She was known for producing high-quality products, word quickly spread, and Mrs. Shaw began shipping the delectable Fick Pickles® to those who couldn’t get enough of that “sweet, crunchy, spicy” taste! The Pickle Lady retired in 2004, and her daughter and son-in-law took over production. Of course, it wasn’t long before Lisa Armstrong Obritotti was known as “The Pickle Lady’s Daughter.”

River Road Park
When the weather is beautiful, River Road Park is definitely a must! Originally called Riverside Park, River Road Park is one of the most popular things to do in Boerne. The linear park is located on the banks of the Cibolo Creek, and is home to a variety of wild ducks and geese. After getting a facelift in 2013, the park now has all new picnic units, new sidewalks, sod, trees, irrigation, and fishing piers.
